State Department of Environmental Services - Public Input
The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services held a six-hour public hearing Wednesday, August 13th reviewing a dredge-and-fill application by St. Michael Parish.
DES is keeping the parish's file open for 30 days before making a final determination on the request to fill wetlands on the proposed Newfields Road site.
The prior evening, on Tuesday, August 12th, the Conservation Commission, which is solely an advisory board, voted unanimously not to support the parish project. A member of the commission attended the Wednesday DES public hearing to relay the decision.
The state Department of Environmental Services will keep the public response period open for 30 more days. To comment on St. Michael Parish's wetlands application send a letter to:
